Top Miami Architects

 



Top Miami architects have influenced the city's development for decades. These architects have designed Miami's most iconic structures. Many architects have created buildings that were inspired by the city's history. Others have worked to create a modern city that embraces the subtropical climate.

Arquitectonica, founded by Bernardo Fort-Brescia and Laurinda Spear, has become an influential player on Miami's design scene. Their works blend surreal modernist abstraction with the rich Latin American influence that has shaped the city. Among their most popular projects are the One Thousand Museum in Miami, which features the visionary architecture of Zaha Hadid, and the Temple House in Coconut Grove, which was recently re-opened after a three-year renovation.

Rene Gonzalez, who leads his firm Choeff Levy Fischman Architecture + Design, has received a number of awards for his work in the Miami area. Sebastian Eilert has been practicing as an architect in Miami since 1998. His designs feature sustainable architecture, and are focused on a holistic approach to designing. His work has received numerous awards, and his designs are known for their forward thinking, contemporary style. A graduate of the University of Miami, he has also been awarded a LEED AP accreditation.

Rex Nichols Architects is a well-established name in Top Miami architects. The firm has been praised for its innovative designs and has been featured in the Washington Post, Tropic Magazine, and Architectural Digest. It has received a number of honors from the American Institute of Architects, including 11 awards for its work. In 2010, Strang won the AIA's Firm of the Year award.

Swedroe Architecture has been working in the city for more than 50 years. The company's team of professionals has been credited with innovative designs, and its residential work has been featured in the Washington Post and the Miami Design District. They are now a partner of the Trump Group. Previously known as Robert M. Swedroe Architects & Planners, the company is considered a leader in Miami's architectural field.

Max Strang has also been praised for his designs that incorporate the subtropical climate of Florida. As a result, he has developed a reputation for constructing homes that are able to survive hurricanes and rising sea levels. Some of his designs, such as the Woodcrest in Key Biscayne, have silver-toned panels that interlace. Other structures feature flat roofs and rectangular frames.

STRANG is one of the most highly regarded architecture firms in the area. The firm has four offices in the U.S., and one in Colorado. They have designed single-family and multi-family homes, and mixed-use residential communities. For the past seven years, they have been ranked as among the top American architects.
